8th Annual Health IT Leadership Summit

McKesson to Headline Sponsor 7th Annual Health IT Leadership Summit

“This year’s theme involves discussions around healthcare delivery model changes and the focused consumer experience,” said Jodie Braner, Summit Chair and Senior Consultant, Human Capital Benefits at Willis Towers Watson. “We will be asking questions such as “How are healthcare organizations thinking about practicing medicine? How are we using the data and tools to connect the dots between the clinician, consumer and payor? Is consumerism shifting the healthcare delivery? Are we at the tipping point of healthcare technology innovation with consumer empowerment? These and other issues are at the forefront of healthcare and will drive the Summit’s discussion.”

Robert Hendricks, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer at McKesson Technology Solutions, said, “Healthcare reform has forever changed the way we do business and as it continues to evolve, the focus on better health and the transition to value-based care is more important than ever before. The Health IT Leadership Summit inspires attendees to explore innovative new solutions and to challenge one another to improve quality of care and patient outcomes, which is what we strive for everyday at McKesson.”
Several companies and organizations have signed up to sponsor the event, including signature sponsors McKesson and Intel, as well as Grady Hospital, Georgia State University, Arnold, Golden, Gregory, Morris, Manning & Martin, BioiQ, and Azalea Health. More information about sponsorship opportunities are available at http://healthitleader.wpengine.com/2016-sponsorship-opportunities.
The Summit will offer attendees a full- and half-day informational sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities. It will also include special awards such as the Intel Innovation Award.

The Health IT Leadership Summit was created in 2010 by the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDED), the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), and the Technology Association of Georgia’s Health Society (TAG Health). The Summit brings together leaders from across the healthcare continuum to discuss how the industry can drive innovations that enable better healthcare delivery at lower costs to more people.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the Institute for Healthcare Information Technology (IHIT), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare through the advancement of technology and education in Georgia.
