Created in 2010 by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Technology Association of Georgia’s Health Society, the Health IT Leadership Summit brings together leaders from across the healthcare continuum to discuss how the industry can drive innovation to enable better healthcare delivery at lower costs to more people.
Everything we do at the Metro Atlanta Chamber is about building our economy and creating prosperity to help Atlanta thrive. Our board is made up of Atlanta’s top business leaders. Our professional staff serves nearly 3,000 member companies that employ nearly 1 million workers. We focus on helping small businesses and mid-size companies grow, helping entrepreneurs get started, and recruiting companies in our key industries: bioscience, clean technology, health IT, mobility, supply chain and advanced manufacturing, and technology.
TAG Health focuses on Georgia’s expanding healthcare field. Its membership is made up of healthcare IT and management professionals, physicians, allied health professionals and hospital administrative personnel. It focuses on rapid advances in healthcare technology that have an enormous impact on the field. Emerging biotech firms, new drugs and treatments, regulatory pressures, academic opportunities, job growth, funding for promising start-ups and management of healthcare information are covered by Society programs.
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) is the state’s sales and marketing arm.
